BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION AS A FITNESS AND GOAL REACHING TOOL
Behavior Modification: -The use of basic learning techniques, such as conditioning, reinforcement, or aversion therapy, to teach skills or alter undesirable behavior; that seeks to extinguish or inhibit abnormal or maladaptive behavior by reinforcing desired behavior and extinguishing undesired behavior.
Working as a Therapist/Counselor over the years I have seen Behavior Modification techniques work as a great tool for clients in reaching a variety of goals. Whether it was trying to quit smoking, avoid triggers that contribute to undesirable behaviors, and ultimately eliminate negative consequences that impact us and our health.
Behavior Modification techniques that I can teach you will provide a way to quantify and measure your behavior in order for you to observe and see the results you are desiring. Being able to have a base line of where you are at and subsequent measurements during your program of your performance can be reinforcing and productive in helping you reach your goals.
